Former student, Bina Mehta, Chair of the KPMG Foundation visits Twickenham School

Posted on: 18/05/2022

Twickenham School STEM students on our Master Learner programme celebrated National Numeracy Day with a special assembly presented by Bina Mehta.

Bina sits on the National Numeracy Council and is Chair of the KPMG Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children. She has also received an MBE for services to trade and investment and as a Twickenham School alumni offered to be interviewed by our Year 10 students, Cyrus Graham and Hattie Allen, about her roles and the importance of numeracy in business. The clear message from today was that any student is capable of achieving the future they aspire to if they are dedicated and work hard. Thank you Bina for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit us and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Assal Ruse, Headteacher said: 'Our school motto is to 'Aspire, Achieve and Enjoy' and this event embodied exactly that. Any student can aspire to achieve anything. We are grateful to Bina for giving up her time to visit us and we look forward to having her back for a whole school assembly so all students benefit and not just Master Learners'.
