Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge

Posted on: 14/03/2025

We are incredibly proud of two absolutely remarkable students who represented Twickenham School so magnificently last night at the regional finals of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge held at Waldegrave School.

Valeriia (10Y) captivated the audience entirely. She held everyone spellbound with her powerful, vivid, and emotional account of the trauma of suddenly being forced to leave her Ukranian home in the dead of night without being able to say goodbye. Her heartfelt speech about the unpredictability of happiness and the importance of appreciating every moment was so deeply moving.

Isreal (Y10), on the other hand, electrified the audience with his charisma, energy, charm, and wit. His humorous yet insightful story about the essential role of failure in life's journey was delivered with tremendous enthusiasm. His anecdotes, referencing everyone from Chelsea football players to Thomas Edison had the audience roaring with laughter and cheering enthusiastically.

Both students represented Twickenham School exceptionally well, making their parents and all of us incredibly proud.
